Vancouver, British Columbia: Calibre Mining Corp. (TSX-V: CXB) (the "Company" or "Calibre") is pleased to announce that the Company has closed its non-brokered private placement financing previously announced on September 17, 2014 with Pierre Lassonde for proceeds of $2,000,000 (the "Private Placement").
As a result of the Private Placement, Mr. Lassonde now holds an 11.2% equity stake in Calibre on an undiluted basis.
The Private Placement consisted of the Company issuing 25,000,000 units ("Units") at a price of $0.08 per Unit. Each Unit consists of one common share and one-half common share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the holder to acquire an additional common share for $0.15 for a period of 24 months from the closing date. The securities issued are subject to a statutory hold period expiring four months and a day following the date of issue. No finder's fee was paid in connection with the Private Placement.
The proceeds of the Private Placement will be used to advance the exploration and development of the Company's 100% owned projects in Nicaragua and for general working capital purposes.
